Hi all, Following a suggestion from Jane, we've created a new section where Members can make contact each other whether it be making friends on Facebook, share interesting articles found online, suggest people to follow on Twitter etc. To start, below is a link to the NRAS Facebook page, where some of the latest NRAS news can be found. You can also use it to ask us general questions. https://www.facebook.com...umatoidarthritissociety We have a number of Twitter accounts: @NRAS_UK is our main NRAS Twitter feed for all the latest key news @helpline_NRAS to see what is happening on the Helpline i.e. new articles, common questions etc @members_NRAS to see what is happening in the Membership department We all try and keep up to date with Health news stories, RA press, drug releases etc and often we find out about it first on Twitter - please give us a follow and help spread our NRAS community even wider! Best wishes, Emma NRAS Membership Supervisor

Happy Friday everyone! You may have already seen but in the section 'request for Members help' we have a new survey which we really hope you will complete for us - it's on social media (including forums, twitter, facebook etc) and the results will be presented at the British Society for Rheumatology conference in April. We also have a few other things you might be interested in reading/participating in: Ailsa (our CEO) has just signed up, on behalf of NRAS, to the 'All Trials' campaign which asks governments and regulators to provide greater access to clinical trials. You can read more and sign the petition at http://www.nras.org.uk/c...ll_trials_campaign.aspx You may also like to see the article below which appeared in the Express on Wednesday. The article is on new research which sheds further light on genetic links to the development of rheumatoid arthritis (and includes comments by Ailsa). http://www.express.co.uk...to-spot-arthritis-early
Hope you all have lovely weekends, Best wishes, Emma

Hello Emma Thanks for your news on ra - good read. X I've had a monster of a few days. Asked my hubby to help me out, he wasn't interested.....said its all beyond him So I've had to navigate my inner settings with no help. At 1230 this morning I set myself a new email address on my phone following hacking. No matter how many times I changed my twitter account - I kept being resent a rogue message about weight loss and look at me now photo (which only existed if I gave my email adress and password) NO STUPID mistake, shouldn't of done it. What I've discovered now is twitter was hacked Whilst in bed last nite with the rain lashing down, wind howling, hubby snoring my settings in googlemail where hacked. It would only show me as africa or somola as country I was from. Then it clicked.....it wasn't just twitter I set new email up with different company....then registered new email address with twitter settings so the pirates couldn't pester me anymore. Was up at 6.30 for work..... Now I have decided to change my phone and start a fresh. Natalie, please don't be cross with me...I unfollowed you and blocked you because the dodgy message kept bouncing from you. You may need to change password on twitter, change your email address and type it on on settings of twitter.... Let me know on here if you up and running then I will follow you again. I just changed my twitter password in the begining thinking I've done enough. Twitter is good fun - been on it since March. I take it this is a one off? Jane

Hi Jane,
Twitter has been horrid! As I'm new to twitter I stupidly opened a DM from you(or the person that hacked you!) about a picture, then bang, my twitter was hacked, sending DM's to everyone and tweeting things about weight loss! Not only did they get my twitter they also managed to get into my e-mails. Ive changed my password on my e-mail account, which it all stopped, did exactly the same thing with my twitter account and it kept happening, so I changed my password again then deactivated my account! I'll set up a completely new twitter account within the next couple of weeks and try again!!
Hopefully everything will work out next time!
take care Natalie x 😊

Morning all, A friend of mine, who has RA, shared this page with me on Facebook https://www.facebook.com...rTearsWithRa?ref=stream found some of her pictures/poems very uplifting and certainly made me smile. Hope it does the same for you. Do keep sharing and suggesting useful people to follow on Twitter or pages to like on Facebook. Best wishes Emma
